Swapping Content with Another Space
You can swap the data and catalog between two spaces while keeping users and implementation-specific elements like report schedules the same.
A common use of this feature is to swap the contents of a development space with a production one. See Distributed Development Model.
The Swap option does not swap the following:
- Users and groups
- Group permissions and memberships
- Data processing schedules
- Report schedules
- SSO settings
- Always On setting if the target space is not an Always On space. See Enabling an Always On Space.
This option is the same as the swapspacecontents command in the Command Window or the swapSpaceContents web service.
To swap the content of this space with the content of another space
- Go to Admin - Manage Space - Modify Properties.
- From the Swap Content With Another Space list, select the space to swap to in the dropdown list.
- Click Swap.
