Filtering on named ranges

This example procedure will show you how to filter on Named Ranges that have been specified for use in the Query Editor.

To filter on a Named Range:

  1. Open Infor BI Q&A in Microsoft Excel.
  2. Select Summary Report from the Open Infor BI Q&A ribbon.
  3. In the Definition tab, specify SunSystems 6 as the Product.
  4. In the filter section, double-click the From field to open the Cell Names Selection dialog box, then select BU_Code and click OK.
  5. Double-click the Table field to open the Table dialog box, then select Ledger and click OK.
  6. Double-click the Ledger field to open the Ledger dialog box, then select the fixed value code you require and click OK.
  7. In the Account Code row, double-click the From field to open the Account Code dialog box, then select AC_From and click OK.
  8. Double-click the To field for Acount Code to open the Account Code dialog box, then select AC_To and click OK.
  9. In the Accounting Period row, double-click the From field to open the Period Selection dialog box. Select Period_From and click OK.
  10. In the Accounting Period row, double-click the To field to open the Period Selection dialog box. Select Period_To and click OK.
  11. After you have populated the filter, click OK.
    Query Editor returns data based on the filters specified.
