Current period override
Use Current Period Override when you need to filter using a period that is not the current period of the database. For example, if the period has recently rolled over, but for reporting purposes the definition needs to be based on, or relative to, a current period of the month before.
Use Current Date Override when you need to filter using Due Dates. For example, you can display the value of a debtor's account, one week from today. Use the current date function to modify the date to seven days from today.
For example:
- Use Current Period Override for Monthly Management Reports when the period in the Author Product has been rolled forward.
- Use Current Date Override in aging reports by specifying the date on which to base the aging.
