Registering a Database
Use this command to add a new database to your favorites and to log on to that database. With regard to authentication, you can make a choice between three options:
You must decide between Windows or Basic authentication, or you can use the user data of the preceding connection by clicking the option Use previous connection.
- Choose a database from the drop-down list and enter an alias.
- If you opt for Basic authentication, enter a valid user name and the corresponding password. The default Infor BI OLAP Server user name is admin, no password is required.
- If you select the Remember user name and password check box, the password is encrypted and both are saved locally. This facilitates the starting of the program, since you do not need to enter the user name and password any more.
