Creating database

Select the menu command File > Create Database to open a dialog, in which you create the Infor BI OLAP Server database on the basis of the relational database in Infor BI Designer. Before the dialog opens, the database configuration is tested. If you configure more than one model, select the check boxes of the models to create. If you select the Recreate entire database check box, the data model will be completely rebuilt. The complete creation may take very long. Without this option, only the modified dimensions are rebuilt.

When you update an Infor BI OLAP Server database using the Create Database command, the data is cached before the structure is updated. If target elements are missing when writing back data to the database, the data is written to the file Error_Data_Data.txt. The location of the file is displayed in the log that you see in the Status section.
