Creating report snapshots

To create a snapshot of a report:

  1. Open the report.
  2. Create the required view.
  3. Right-click the report in the Report Catalog and select New > Snapshot.
    Snapshots can be cut, copied, pasted and renamed in the same way as standard reports. You can create several snapshots, each with a different view of a report. Or you can create one snapshot and overwrite it each time you change the view of the report.

    To overwrite a snapshot:

    1. Right-click a snapshot in the Report Catalog.
    2. Select Overwrite Snapshot.
      The variables stored in the snapshot change to those of the current View Mode. Report snapshots cannot be converted to style sheets or report templates.
