Specifying the output format in the Format Cells dialog

  1. In Design Mode, click outside the hyperblock to deselect it.
  2. Right-click the index cell and select Format Cells.
The Format Cells dialog is displayed.

On the Number Format tab, the Text category is selected and the tilde character (~) is displayed in the User-defined format instruction field. The ~ indicates that a format other than the unique name is displayed.

  3. To display the unique name, select @ as the number format.
  4. To revert to the caption (or to another format specified in the Object Properties dialog, select ~ as the number format).
The MEMBERGET function returns the unique name of an element. To display the caption, use the ~ number format in the cell containing the function.
Note: The settings of the Output Properties and Format Cells dialogs are independent. A change of selection in one dialog does not affect the selection in the other.
