Camera events

You can integrate cameras with YMS yards to automate data entry. The camera systems capture multiple images of equipment at key locations and use artificial intelligence (AI) to extract critical data from the images. YMS stores the extracted data as camera events. Clients can use the camera system APIs to retrieve these events.

Use the YMS Camera Records page to view events received through the camera integration API and review the event-processing results. This page provides information for monitoring and managing the camera integration. The data in the YMS Camera Records page cannot be modified.

You can configure scheduled tasks to remove camera integration records according to your data-retention policy.

Note: 
  • You can use separate tasks for all records and error records. Error records may be retained for a longer period so that unresolved issues remain visible without increasing data volume.
  • Camera integration does not add predefined alerts or events. You can configure alerts or events to respond to camera-driven status changes. For example, configure an event for a door-closure status change to generate a move request that moves equipment away from the door.

  • Gate check-in
  • Gate check-out
  • Door arrival or door opening
  • Door closure or departure
  • Movement to a yard location
  • Inspection
