Adding a new commodity at the facility level

Select a facility from the
Facility field.

Select
to open the YMS Facility Commodities.

Click
New to access the
Commodity detail view.

Specify this information on the
Commodity tab:
- Commodity Group
- Select a commodity group.
- Commodity
- Specify the name of the commodity that shows the general commodity
class of the material to be loaded or unloaded from the equipment.
- Commodity Type
- Specify the general type for the commodity. For example, the
commodity is Chemical and the commodity type is Hydrochloric Acid.
- Commodity Code
- Specify a decimal value that is unique to that commodity. You
cannot have two commodity codes on two different records with different
commodity values.
- Description
- Specify a long description for the commodity and commodity
type.
- Load/Unload
- Select one of these values:

Load: Indicates that this commodity is a load
commodity

Unload: Indicates that this commodity is an
unload commodity

Specify this information on the Charge
Settings tab:
- Demurrage Alert
- Specify the number of days or hours, the equipment
for this carrier can be in the yard before the carrier starts to bill an
additional cost to the company. If no corresponding values are indicated
for the commodity associated with the equipment inventory, then the carrier
values are used.
- Detention Alert
- Specify the number of days or hours, the equipment
for this carrier can be in the yard before the carrier starts to bill an
additional cost to the company. If no corresponding values are indicated
for the commodity associated with the equipment inventory, then the carrier
values are used.
- Storage Alert
- Specify the number of days or hours, the equipment
for this carrier can be stored in the yard before the carrier starts to bill
an additional cost to the company. If no corresponding values are indicated
for the commodity associated with the equipment inventory, then the carrier
values are used.
- Demurrage Start Time Field
- Indicate the time when the demurrage time starts. This time is
used to determine the duration for which an equipment remains at the
facility. Possible options:
- Expected Arrival
Time
- Want Time
- Ordered Time
- Checkin time
- Checkout Time
- Last Move Time
- Last Inspection Time
- Open Time
- Close Time
- Detention Start Time Field
- Indicate the time when the detention time starts. This time is
used to determine the duration for which the equipment begins waiting for
service or unloading/loading. Possible options:
- Expected Arrival
Time
- Want Time
- Ordered Time
- Checkin time
- Checkout Time
- Last Move Time
- Last Inspection Time
- Open Time
- Close Time
- Storage Start Time Field
- Indicate the time at which the equipment is considered stored or
parked at the facility. Possible options:

- Demurrage End Time Field
- Indicate the time at which the system stops counting the demurrage
time. Possible options:

- Indicate the time at which at which the detention time ends.
