Equipment types

The Equipment Type configuration is used to define all the equipment types with descriptions used by the company. Equipment types must be assigned to equipment flows. Equipment types indicate the specific type of equipment that has arrived at the facility. This value can be a code or short description that best describes the trailer, rail car, barge, or vehicle while in the yard. Use the YMS Equipment Type page to configure the equipment type values such as 53R (53TF102) or 50-foot Standard, 50-foot Hi-roof, 60-foot Standard, 60-foot Hi-roof, etc.

Equipment types are manually created. After being created, you can view, add, modify, or delete records using the application.
