Adding a weight scale at the facility level

  1. Select a facility from the Facility field.
  2. Select Interfaced Data > Weight/Scale to open the YMS Weight Inbound.
  3. Click New to access the Weight/Scale detail view.
  4. Specify this information on the Weight/Scale tab:
    Weight In
    Specify the weight of the equipment as read by the scale initially for inbound equipment.
    UOM In
    Select the units of measure (UOM) for the weight in. The list values come from previously defined weight unit abbreviations.
    Weight Out
    Specify the weight of the equipment as read by the scale for the outbound process.
    UOM Out
    Select the UOM for the weight out. The list values come from previously defined weight unit abbreviations.
    Carrier
    Select the carrier from the list or use the ellipsis button to select a carrier.
    Equipment ID
    Select the identification of the equipment or use the ellipsis button to select equipment ID.
    Transaction ID
    Specify the ID of the transaction.
    Processed
    If the weight entry resulted in an update of equipment, the record is marked as processed. Select one of these values:
    • Yes: Indicates that the individual equipment is processed, and a success message is displayed in the Result field
    • No: Indicates that the individual equipment is in pending-for-process
    • Error: Indicates the reason the weight could not be applied
    Commodity
    Optionally, select a commodity.
    Commodity Type
    Optionally, select the type of commodity.
  5. Click Save.
