Rule setup examples
When using Equipment Request Selection feature, you can set the rules and sequence for equipment move requests, which allows for rules to be repeated. These two tables show examples of how rules can be created.
Example 1
Rule Name | Priority | Rule | Equipment Types | Zone |
---|---|---|---|---|
40HC | 100 | Oldest First | 40HC | Stage |
40HC | 150 | Oldest First | 40SC | Stage |
Example 2
Rule Name | Priority | Rule | Equipment Types | Zone |
---|---|---|---|---|
40HC | 100 | Oldest First | 40HC,40SC | Stage |
In example 1, a search is performed to look for the oldest equipment first with equipment type 40HC in the locations in zone Stage. If suitable equipment cannot be found, a search is performed to look for 40SC equipment types in the same zone.
In example 2, the rule specifies that a search for 40HC or 40SC equipment type in the Stage zone should be performed with the oldest first of either equipment used.
All evaluations consider the location restrictions that are set up for the location type on the move request. Location types restrict the allowed equipment by equipment flow, equipment status, and commodity. The location type rules are included as part of the equipment selection. For example, if the move request is for the location DOOR01, the location type of DOOR01 already shows the equipment flow values, equipment status values and commodities that are not allowed.
