Making an alert inactive

The Alert Event System (AES) is set to run every few seconds. Because users cannot update a record that has changed from what is shown on the screen, a user may have difficulty making changes to an active alert event record. The record on the screen is actively being processed and can render the user version of the record to be stale due to the rapid background execution of the alert event records. You can use the Make Inactive button to make an active record inactive; therefore, removing the record from the active alert event queue.

  1. Select Configuration > Alerts/Events to open the YMS Facility Alerts/Events page.
  2. Select the alert or event that is active.
  3. Click Make Inactive.
