Adding a new equipment flow at the enterprise level

  1. Select Facility > Enterprise.
  2. Select Configuration > Equipment Flow to open the Equipment Flow Process page.
  3. Click New to access the Equipment Flow detail view.
  4. Specify this information in the Equipment Flow tab:
    Equipment Flow
    Specify a short description of the equipment flow.
    Equipment Flow Group
    Optionally, specify a group to assign this equipment flow to so that more data can be defaulted in other configuration editors.
    Inbound
    Optionally, select Yes to indicate that the equipment flow is considered inbound. Or, select No to indicate that the equipment flow is considered outbound.
    Description
    Specify a long description for the equipment flow.
    Inspection Pass
    Optionally, select the value that indicates the status that is automatically updated when the inspection process is done, and the inspection passed. The status values are defined from one of the equipment status values available for this equipment flow once it has been configured from value out of the Equipment Status Codes page. These values must be specified prior to using the process that requires them.
    Inspection Fail
    Optionally, select the value that indicates the status that is automatically updated when the inspection process is done, and the inspection failed. The status values are defined from one of the equipment status values available for this equipment flow once it has been configured from values out of the Equipment Status Codes page. Although not required, these values must be entered prior to using the process that requires them.
    Move to Load/Unload Open
    Optionally, select a status to indicate the status that will be automatically updated when the equipment is moved to a location configured as a load or unload type. The status is defined from one of the equipment values allowed for this equipment flow once it has been configured from values out of the Equipment Status Codes page. Although not required, these values must be entered prior to using the process that requires them.
    Host Door Open
    Select a host door open status when YMS is integrated to a WMS or ERP. The equipment status is automatically updated when the host sends a Transportation Status BOD door open transaction. The status is defined from one of the equipment values allowed for this equipment flow once it has been configured from values out of the Equipment Status Codes page. Although not required, this value must be entered prior to using the process that requires them.
    Move from Load/Unload Close
    Optionally, select a status to indicate the status that will be automatically updated when the equipment is moved away from a location configured as a load or unload location type. The status is defined from one of the equipment values allowed for this equipment flow once it has been configured from values out of the Equipment Status Codes page. Although not required, these values must be entered prior to using the process that requires them.
    Check In
    Select a check in status. The status is defined from one of the equipment values allowed for this equipment flow once it has been configured from values out of the Equipment Status Codes page. Although not required, these values must be entered prior to using the process that requires them.
    Check Out
    Select a check out status. The status is defined from one of the equipment values allowed for this equipment flow once it has been configured from values out of the Equipment Status Codes page. Although not required, these values must be entered prior to using the process that requires them.
  5. To add or remove facility records, select the Facility Assignment, and then click Modify.

    When facilities are selected for the equipment flow, only those facilities show on the equipment flow list at the facility level. On the Modify Equipment Flow Facility Assignment page, use these procedures to add or remove facilities:

    • To add a facility, select a facility from the Available column and click the arrow in the Available header to move to the Selected column. Then, click OK. The list of available facilities only includes active facilities.
    • To remove a facility, select facility from the Selected column and click the arrow in the Selected header to move to the Available column. Then, click OK. Note that a facility cannot be removed from the equipment flow list when the equipment flow is configured for a piece of equipment, additional equipment, equipment template, appointment, or alert event for the equipment flow of the facility.
  6. To add or remove equipment type records, select the Configured Equipment Type tab, and then click Modify.
  7. To add or remove equipment status records, select the Equipment Status tab, and then click Modify.
  8. On the Check In Screen Designer tab, select the Enabled check box to specify that the field is to be displayed on the Check In page. To help the check in operator and check in process, the Check In Screen Designer list of fields can be used to select fields or clear fields to be displayed or hidden from the Check In page. Any fields that are not a part of the equipment record for the equipment flow should be hidden so that the check in operator does not have to specify data for that field. Note that some fields are required and attempting to hide them from check in is not allowed.
  9. Select the Check Out Screen Designer tab, and then select the Enabled check box to specify that the field is displayed on the Check Out page. The Check Out Screen Designer list fields that can be displayed on the Check Out page to help the check out operator with the check out process. Any fields that are not a part of the equipment record for the equipment flow should be hidden so that the check in operator does not have to specify data for that field. Some fields are required and attempting to hide them from check in is not allowed.
  10. Click Save.
