Inspection

In YMS, you can mark a trailer or railcar at yard check-in for immediate comprehensive safety inspection. When marked, the trailer is directed to a location for inspection. The inspector of the trailer is provided with a list of user-defined safety questions, based on the equipment flow and type. The answer to each question is pass or fail with associated reason codes. If the trailer passes inspection, then the trailer is directed to a valid location for further usage. If a trailer fails inspections, then the trailer is directed to a hold location and the owner of the trailer is contacted through email to initiate repairs, as needed.

In YMS, you also can inspect trailers based on system generated perimeters. You can mark a trailer or railcar record with the last inspection date, and then after a certain number of days or months, the trailer or railcar record is set for re-inspection. This inspection rotation process ensures that all trailers are inspected in a user configurable time frame.
