Equipment status codes

The Equipment Status Codes configuration is used to define the different statuses of a piece of equipment and to indicate if that status is considered in service or out of service. These equipment statuses are examples:

  • Check-in
  • Check-out
  • Close
  • Passed
  • Needs repair

Equipment status values indicate the state of the equipment at the point at which the equipment is at within the process flow through the yard. You can use the status to help you manage the workflow through the alert and event workflow management configuration. The equipment status values that are indicated in the equipment flow configuration provide the system with key data used to pass that equipment status event to update external systems. Equipment status is also used in the configuration of the location type to restrict equipment with certain status from being moved into locations of that type.
