Adding a new unit of measure at the enterprise level

  1. Select Facility > Enterprise.
  2. Select Configuration > Units of Measure to open the YMS Units of Measure page.
  3. Click New to access the Units of Measure detail view.
  4. Specify this information:
    UOM
    Specify the name of the unit of measure (UOM).
    Default Flag
    Select Yes to indicate that this unit of measure is to be used as the default UOM. Otherwise, select No. Only one UOM can be set as a default. Anywhere in this application where weight is indicated the default UOM is used, if possible, so that the operator does not have to enter a value. The operator can change the UOM for a weight from among the configured values.
    Description
    Specify a description for the unit of measure.
  5. Click Save.
