Enhancements

This section describes the enhancements that are available in this production update.

Warehouse mapping

The new BOD Accounting Entity field on the YMS Enterprise > Facility Setup > Facility Management page indicates if the facility host alias is the location node attribute or the accounting entity node attribute. The default value is No, indicating the location node attribute is being mapped to the facility host alias. It is a required field.

Current state restrictions

You can specify what equipment can be moved to a location of that type on the YMS Location Type page. Locations are restricted based on the values in the Equipment Flow Restrictions, Equipment Status Restrictions, Commodity Restrictions and now the Current State Restrictions fields. This enhancement provides these equipment state restrictions:

  • E: Empty
  • I: Inbound Material
  • O: Outbound Material
  • P: Partially Loaded Outbound Material
  • S: Stored Material

For example, equipment with a current state of Stored Material is prohibited from being moved to a staging area type of location. Another example is preventing the current state of Partially Loaded from being moved to a checkout type of location.

Note that if the optional equipment field of current state is not populated, then no exclusions are enforced for current state restrictions.

Process.Location BOD integration

The new Process.Location BOD is generated on a periodic basis to show empty doors and includes the location name, zone, and dimensional information. Using the scheduled task configuration and the host subscription, you can control the timing and generation of the Process.Location BOD.

New data view email report

The Data View email page has been created to configure a report and time frame along with a list of users to be sent a Data View report. You can specify information such as the email title, a set of users to email, the data view name and email frequency. The report output can be emailed hourly, daily, or weekly. The page shows the last time the report ran and any pertinent output results.

New fields on YMS Equipment Inventory page

The YMS Equipment Inventory page includes these four new display-only fields:

  • Inbound Net Weight
  • Inbound Net Weight UOM
  • Outbound Net Weight
  • Outbound Net Weight UOM

The value in the Net Weight field changes only by changing the value in the tare weight, outbound weight, or inbound weight. The inbound net weight is the difference of the inbound weight and tare weight when the units of measure of those fields match. Likewise, the outbound net weight is the difference of the outbound weight and the tare weight when the units of measure of those fields match.

These net weight fields display in the TransportationStatus BOD generated by YMS.

Gate checkout restrictions

In previous releases, you could checkout equipment regardless of equipment location or status as long as there was not an outstanding task for the equipment.

In Gate Checkout, equipment checkout can only occur if the equipment is at a checkout location type. The Check Out Location Type field is located on the Facility Management page and the Equipment Flow Process page. If you configure a location type for Gate Checkout without having any locations in the facility of that location type, then you are unable to check out equipment. This enhancement forces you to configure facility data first.

Complete GSP Integration

In this latest update, a web user control runs in the background on a device and has been created for GPS tracking. This control records the user's GPS location and compares them to the GPS coordinates of the location along with tolerance, using the result to validate location accuracy of user input.

Automated RFID task completion

You can use the RFID scanner to complete tasks and move equipment through the identification of the RFID reader in the scanned records. The RFID Scan page shows an indicator when the name of the reader matches a configured YMS location. This read-only check box is set when the reader name matches a configured location. When the RFID Scan record is about to be processed, the RFID record is first checked by the scanner process. If the reader matches a location and the equipment is not already at the location, then the scan process will move the equipment to the RFID scanner location.
