External status code map

The External Status Code Map configuration is used to map any equipment status values received from external systems to values that are meaningful to you in the application. The Warehouse Management System (WMS) has several status values, that from a YMS system perspective, mean the same things.

You can use the external status code map to do these things:

• Manage the equipment status
• View the equipment status as values that you have configured
• Maintain the flow and handling in the application

When this application is used as a standalone application, the entry of external status codes is supported directly into the application. If this application is not used as a standalone, then the list of external status codes is downloaded from the host system into YMS.

Whether the external status codes are downloaded from the host or entered manually, you can view, add, modify, or delete records using the application.
