Inbound data

The inbound data flow is the flow of BODs that are centered around the inbound receiving process. Equipment, carrying the inventory indicated by the attached or associated ASN or POs, arrives at the facility to be unloaded. This diagram shows a simple example of an ASN provided by the WMS or ERP system to Infor YMS, followed by the interactions between Infor YMS and the WMS or ERP for updates to the equipment that reflects the activity taking place in both systems.

BOD	Description
Sync.AdvancedShipmentNotice	This BOD provides Infor YMS with the inventory that is arriving or is on the equipment in the yard and is a critical link between the WMS or ERP system and Infor YMS. This information is key in the operational process of determining equipment unloading precedence.
Sync.TransporationStatus	Infor YMS is the System of Record (SOR) of equipment because Infor YMS is maintaining the status, location, and processing of the equipment while it exists within the boundary of the yard. Infor YMS provides the WMS or ERP system with this information: Real-time updates for the arrival Departure Location movement Status change Loading and unloading status Any inspections that are performed against the equipment The general flow of equipment is shown in the simple data flow example, which illustrates the events that are triggered by Infor YMS.
Process.TransportationStatus	Although Infor YMS knows when equipment both arrives and departs from a door or unload point, the physical opening and closing of the equipment doors are events that are typically known by the WMS or ERP systems. If possible, these events should be communicated to Infor YMS to keep the two systems synchronized regarding the real time unloading status of the equipment.

This diagram shows an example of a complex inbound scenario.

The only difference in this example is that the equipment is not completely unloaded when it is brought to the door or unload point. The only change to the BOD is the data that indicates partially unloaded, while the general flow of BODs does not change.
