Adding a new location type at the enterprise level

open the YMS Location Type page.

Click
New to access the
Location Type detail view.

Specify this information on the Location
Type tab:
- Location Type
- Specify the name of the location type.
- Allow load unload
- Select Yes to allow
the load to unload at that location. Otherwise, select No. Note that any equipment with a
status that is flagged as not in service cannot be moved into that location.
- Description
- Specify a description of the location type.
- Default height
- Specify the default height of the location type. This value is
used during location entry to default the location dimensions. The height
specified here must match those that are configured for the facility.
- Default length
- Specify the default length of the location type. This value is
used during location entry to default the location dimensions. The length
specified here must match those that are configured for the facility.
- Default width
- Specify the default width of the location type. This value is used
during location entry to default the location dimensions. The width
specified here must match those that are configured for the facility.

Specify this information on the Location Type Restrictions tab:
- Equipment Flow Restrictions
- Click Modify to add or remove equipment flow
records. The selected equipment flows are restricted for this location type.
On the Modify Equipment Flow Restrictions page, you can perform these
actions:
- Add an
equipment flow: Select an equipment flow from the Available column and
click the arrow in the Available header to move to the Selected
column. Then, click Ok.
- Remove an
equipment flow: Select an equipment flow from the Selected column and
click the arrow in the Selected header to move to the Available
column. Then, click Ok.
- Status Restrictions
- Click Modify to add or remove equipment status
records. The selected equipment statuses are restricted for this location
type. On the Modify Equipment Status Restrictions page, you can perform
these actions:
- Add an
equipment status: Select an equipment status from the Available column
and click the arrow in the Available header to move to the Selected
column. Then, click Ok.
- Remove an
equipment status: Select an equipment status from the Selected column
and click the arrow in the Selected header to move to the Available
column. Then, click Ok.
- Commodity Restrictions
- Click Modify to add or
remove commodity records. The selected commodities are restricted for this
location type. On the Modify Commodity Restrictions page, you can perform
these actions:
- Add a Commodity: Select a commodity from the Available column and
click the arrow in the Available header to move to the Selected
column. Then, click Ok.
- Remove a Commodity: Select a Commodity from the Selected column and
click the arrow in the Selected header to move to the Available
column. Then, click Ok.
