Adding a new location or zone at the facility level

  1. Select a facility from the Facility field.
  2. Select Configuration > Location/Zones to open the YMS Facility Yard Location page.
  3. Click New to access the Location/Zone detail view.
  4. Specify this information on the Yard Location tab:
    Location
    Specify the unique identification of the location within the yard
    Location Type
    Select the location type related to the loading or unloading capacity. This value must be one of the configured location types.
    Location Sequence
    Specify the sequence number for the location. During alert or event processing where a move to a location is indicated, the locations are evaluated by sequence number descending order.
    Location Status
    Specify the status of the location. If you leave the field blank, the status is available while any non-blank text indicates that the reason the location is not available for use.
    Number Allowed
    Specify the number of equipment that is allowed at that location.
    Last Count Date
    Select the date that the equipment count was last performed at the location.
    Zone
    Specify which zone the locate is assigned.
  5. Specify this information on the Positioning Details tab:
    Length
    Specify the length of the yard location. The units specified here must match those that are configured for the facility.
    Width
    Specify the width of the yard location. The units specified here must match those that are configured for the facility.
    Height
    Specify the height of the yard location. The units specified here must match those that are configured for the facility.
    X-coordinate
    Specify the x-coordinate of the location in the yard.
    Y-coordinate
    Specify the y-coordinate of the location in the yard.
    Z-coordinate
    Specify the z-coordinate of the location in the yard.
    GPS Latitude
    Specify the GPS latitude of the yard location.
    GPS Longitude
    Specify the GPS longitude of the yard location.
    Orientation
    Specify the orientation. These values are valid:
    • 0: Location opening is down toward zero Y axis when the 3D yard view is first displayed
    • 90: Location opening is to the left toward zero X axis when the 3D yard view is first displayed
    • 180: Location opening is up when the 3D yard view is first displayed
    • 270: Location opening is to the right when the 3D yard view is first displayed
  6. Click Save.
