Adding a new commodity at the facility level

  1. Select a facility from the Facility field.
  2. Select Interfaced Data > Dock Doors/Loading Platform to open the YMS Facility Commodities.
  3. Click New to access the Commodity detail view.
  4. Specify this information on the Commodity tab:
    Commodity Group
    Select a commodity group.
    Commodity
    Specify the name of the commodity that shows the general commodity class of the material to be loaded or unloaded from the equipment.
    Commodity Type
    Specify the general type for the commodity. For example, the commodity is Chemical and the commodity type is Hydrochloric Acid.
    Description
    Specify a long description for the commodity and commodity type.
    Load/Unload
    Select one of these values:
    • Load: Indicates that this commodity is a load commodity
    • Unload: Indicates that this commodity is an unload commodity
  5. Specify this information on the Commodity Formula tab:
    Storage time alert days
    Specify the number of days or times that the equipment for this carrier can be stored in the yard before the carrier starts to bill an additional cost to the company.
    Storage time formula
    Select the storage time formula that specifies when the storage clock starts. These values are valid:
    • Expected Arrival Time
    • Want Time
    • Ordered Time
    • Checkin Time
    • Checkout Time
    • Last Move Time
    • Last Inspection Time
    • Open Time
    • Close Time
    Detention time alert days
    Specify the number of days or times the equipment for this carrier can be in the yard before the carrier starts to bill an additional cost to the company.
    Detention time formula
    Select the detention time formula that specifies when the detention clock starts. These values are valid:
    • Expected Arrival Time
    • Want Time
    • Ordered Time
    • Checkin Time
    • Checkout Time
    • Last Move Time
    • Last Inspection Time
    • Open Time
    • Close Time
    Demurrage time alert days
    Specify the number of days or times the equipment for this carrier can be in the yard before the carrier starts to bill an additional cost to the company.
    Demurrage time formula
    Select the demurrage alert formula that specifies when the demurrage clock starts. These values are valid:
    • Expected Arrival Time
    • Want Time
    • Ordered Time
    • Checkin Time
    • Checkout Time
    • Last Move Time
    • Last Inspection Time
    • Open Time
    • Close Time
  6. Click Save.
