Security framework

These two protocols are used by the XMDBTool to connect to the Expense Management server:

• http
• https

With a secure and industry communication protocol, all communication between the client and server is secured.

For data integrity, the CRC-32 protocol is used. This is an industry protocol and is used to ensure that the data files are not corrupted during communication. When a file is uploaded to the server or a file is downloaded from the server, a checksum verification is performed to ensure that the file is the original, complete, and is the correct version.
