Adding a cost center segment

You can use the Cost Center (alco_cost_center_segment) table to specify a segment in a cost center.

  1. Select Manage > Corporate Data.
  2. Select Cost Center Segment in the Data Type field.
  3. Specify this information:
    Name
    The name of the cost center segment. A cost center segment name must be unique for the cost center. However, a same cost center name can be used for another cost centers.
    Code
    The code that identifies the cost center segment. The code number must be unique in the cost center. The limit is 60 characters.
    Status
    The status of the cost center segment. The status can be Active or Inactive.
    Index
    The position of the segment in the cost center.
    Description
    The description of the cost center segment.
    Approver
    The name of the cost center segment approver.
    Alt. Approver
    The name of the alternate approver of the cost center segment.
  4. Click the Membership tab, if required, and add the data groups. See, Adding or removing data groups from a corporate date type.
  5. Specify an external key, if required. See, Creating an external key.
  6. Click Add to save the data.
