Overview

Use the Archive and Purge tool for archiving documents to individual XML files and purging or deleting the documents from the transaction database. The archived XML files can be accessed using the cascading style sheet (CSS).

Archive and purge are optional activities. You can purge without archiving or archive without purging documents. However,you perform both the Archive and Purge activity to maintain a record of all the documents that are purged.

You can use a set of command line parameters to specify the date and the activity of the documents to be processed.
