Understanding automated and manual processes

Activities in the Expense Management application include these types of processes:

Type Definition
Automated The activities completed by a background process. For example, determining the documents audited based on the company policy.
Manual The activities performed by a person. For example, creating or reviewing a document.

The automated actions that are a part of the Expense Management application are determined by the business requirements of the company. Some automated actions perform basic functions while the other actions are developed specifically to meet the company requirements. In addition, manual actions are also determined by the business requirements of the company. These workflows perform functions based on the company requirements and the existing processes. The business workflow must be designed to meet the company requirements.
