Enabling password reset for users

Use the steps in this section to enable users to set passwords. This section also explains the procedure to reset the passwords.

By default, users provisioned using the Analytics Configuration and User Provisioning application are not assigned a password. You can also use the steps in this section, if you require to assign a password to a user.

  1. Log on to the Birst application as a tenant account administrator.
  2. Select User Management on the Account Settings page. This is a different User Management utility from the one that is available on the home page.
  3. Specify the user's ID in the <tenant_id>_<Ming.le GUID> format i n the Search field and click Enter
  4. Select the user from the left panel.
  5. Select Reset Password from the main panel.

    An email from the Birst address donotreply@birst.com, is sent to the user's email address.
