Adding application parameter overrides

You can use the Application Parameter Override (alwf_appl_parm_override) table to override the application parameters. You can override application parameters if you are a system administrator or a super administrator.

Note:  The super administrator must log in as the system administrator, if global administrative tasks are required to override the default application parameters.

If you are a system administrator, you can assign an override to the group to which you are a member. If you are a super administrator, you cannot assign an override.

To add application parameter overrides:

  1. Click the Data tab.
  2. Select App Parameter Override and click Show Tab. The App Parameter Override screen is displayed.
  3. Click New. The Search for App Parameter Override / New App Parameter Override screen is displayed.
  4. Specify this information in the Primary Information panel:
    App Parameter
    The parameter you want to override. The parameters that are applicable only to your admin group are displayed.
    Override Value
    The value for the override parameter.
    Description
    The description of the override parameter value.
    Status
    The status of the override parameter. The status can be Active or Inactive.
    External Key
    A unique external ID of the application parameter overrides, if required.
  5. Click Add in the Membership section, if required, and add the data groups.
  6. Click Save to add an application parameter override and save the data.
