Managing and configuring the Field Attribute Editor

You can add or manage the field editor attributes.

  1. Select Tools > Field Attribute Editor.
  2. Specify this information:
    Application
    The application functionality of the field attribute. The other fields that display on the screen differ based on the selection.
    Screen
    A screen in the application to enable the field attributes for the various stages of the document process. For example, from Document Create to Manager Review.
    Show List Of

    An Additional Data Capture ( ADC) or a controller for a specific functionality such as: TP, TS, ER, PR and the data displayed is based on the option selected in this field .

    A controller modifies the attributes of the other controllers on the screen. In the Infor Expense Report functionality, the controller is the expense type. When you modify the expense type, the other fields on the screen is displayed, or enabled. For example, if the Expense Type is Airfare, then select a vendor based on the corporate policy.

    Filter for Group
    The selected users from a group can view the designated screen behavior. All the users in the application can view the field attribute behavior.
    Note:  This field is enabled, only if you select Controllers in the Show List of field.
    For Purpose
    The purpose of the ADC.
    Note: This field is displayed, only if you select ADCs in the Show List of field.
    For Payment Request Type
    A payment request purpose of the ADC.
    Note:  This field is displayed only if you select PR - Payment Request in the Application field and ADCs in the Show List of field.
    For Controller
    A controller of the ADC.
    Note:  This field is displayed, only if you select Common Tools or TS - Timesheet in the Application field and ADCs in the Show List of field.
    For ADC
    The level at which the data can be controlled.
    Note:  This field is enabled, only if you select Controllers in the Show List of field.
    Show only true ADCs
    If this check box is selected, only those ADCs that are defined in aldt_adc_defn table are displayed.
    Apply field attributes similar to
    A template to copy field attributes from and apply the field attributes to the current ADCs.
    Copy to Module
    The module to copy the field attribute. For example, if you create an ADC for the Line Items: Create screen module, you can copy the information to the Line Items: Manager Review screen and Line Items: Audit screen modules. You must also select the option to copy only the selected control or to copy all the controls for the module.
  3. Select an item in the Select an item (or items) to edit field attributes section, to enable the fields in the Selected Item section.
  4. Specify this information:
    Label
    The text to display as a field label for the item on the screen.
    Mask Type
    The type of mask to apply to the item.
    Note:  The default value in the Mask field is displayed after you select the mask type.
    Tooltip

    The text to display as a tool tip for the item.

    Visible
    If this check box is selected, the item is displayed on the screen.
    Enabled
    If this check box is selected, the Item field is enabled for the user to specify information in the field.
    Required
    If this check box is selected, the item is considered as a required field.
    Translation
    Tooltip Translation
  5. Click Update.
