Changing the sequence of a business rule

You can to change the sequence of the business rules for a particular Fire On action.

New business rules are added to the end of the sequence in which the rules are applied. After you add a new business rule, you can change the order of the rules as needed.

When you create a new business rule, the rule is automatically assigned a place in the firing sequence, based on severity, scope, and notification. You can change the sequence if necessary.

To change the sequence of a business rule:

  1. Select Manage > Business Rules > Business Rule.
  2. Click Sequence to display the Change Business Rule Sequence screen. The list of business rules is empty.
  3. Select the action for the rules that you want to sequence. See Business Rule Fire on Actions.
  4. Select a rule to Update the sequence of the business rules.
  5. Click Up or Down to change the sequence of the rule in the list.
  6. To save your changes, click OK.
