Outbound Lot Control by Lot Attributes
Use this screen to define the inclusion and exclusion rules for inventory lots. You can define conditions on configurable lottables (excluding date attributes) to control inventory for outbound allocation or picking. These rules help ensure that only suitable inventory is selected during outbound processing. You can define conditions for the inventory that impact these outbound processes:
- Hard allocation
- Soft allocation
- Dynamic picking
- Lot swapping
- Over allocation
Note:
- If the Outbound Lot Control by Lot Attribute rules are not defined, the application uses the existing rules for allocation (Hard or Soft) and picking (Demand Picking or Lot Swapping).
- When selecting multiple lot attributes, appropriate lot attributes must be selected for Lot Control by Lot Attribute. Else, the application does not allocate inventory.
- Manual pick detail creation does not filter lots or LPNs based on lot attribute rules. If a Lot Attribute Control Key is defined for the Ship To, the application validates the lot and displays error if the criteria are not met.
- If the criteria are not met during the Dynamic Picking and Lot Swapping processes, the application displays an error.
- You can define the Lot Control by Attribute Key on the Outbound Lot Control by Ship To screen to evaluate the lots based on the specified conditions.
