Adding a trailer

To add a trailer:

  1. Select Facility > Warehouse > WMS > Appointment > Trailers. The Trailer screen is displayed.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify this information as applicable:
    Trailer Key
    The system-assigned number or specify a unique number.
    Trailer Number
    The trailer number.
    Trailer Status
    The status or accept the system-assigned default status of Created.
    Trailer Type
    The trailer type to use. You can select Pallet or Trailer.
    Note: 
    • If the TRAILERTYPEONASNMODS parameter is enabled on the Feature Control screen, the Trailer Type field can be modified only from the Trailers screen for existing trailer types. You cannot modify from the ASN/Receipt screen or using integration channels (Excel Import and REST API).
    • When a new trailer is created during the ASN/Receipt process, the specified trailer type is used if that type exists in the cartonization setup and the Display on Loading option is selected. Else, TRAILER is used as the default value.
    Type
    Determines the trailer to be used in Inbound or Outbound. If you specify Inbound, in the Inbound ASN/Receipt section at the bottom of the screen, you can link ASNs to the trailer. If you specify Outbound, in the Order section at the bottom of the screen, you can link shipment orders to the trailer.
    Carrier
    The code for the carrier to which the trailer belongs.
  4. Specify this optional information as applicable:
    Seal No.
    The seal number used to secure the trailer. You can specify up to five seal numbers.
    Notes
    The additional information, special requirements, or observations related to the trailer.
    Seal Status
    The condition of the trailer seal. You can specify Opened, Closed, or Tampered.
    Arrival Time
    The time that the trailer is expected to arrive or leave blank.
    Clean
    The description of the cleanliness of the trailer.
    Temperature
    The temperature to be maintained for trailer. You can specify up to three temperature readings. These readings can be from the nose (front), middle, and tail (end) of the trailer.
    Departure Time
    The time that the trailer is expected to depart or leave blank.
    Door
    Specify he warehouse door number that the trailer is assigned to, if known.
  5. Click Add in the bottom half of the screen where an Inbound or Outbound order can be linked to the trailer, to associate an ASN or shipment order with the trailer. A list of open receipts or shipment orders is displayed. Select the receipts or orders for this trailer. You can associate multiple receipts or orders with a trailer.
  6. Click Save.
    Note: You can use the Trailer Check option, to view or answer to questions, if the questions strategy is assigned to the corresponding Trailer Type.
