User Defined Actions

Use this screen to create custom actions that perform predefined procedures on specific screens. The custom actions provide flexibility to support changing business requirements, automate workflows, and apply custom business logic without manual intervention. You can add custom action options to these screens:

  • Shipment Order Header (Actions, Reports, or Labels menu)
  • Shipment Order Detail (Actions or Labels menu)
  • ASN/Receipt Header (Actions or Reports menu)
  • ASN/Receipt Detail (Actions menu)
  • Task (Actions menu)
  • Wave Maintenance (Actions or Printing menu)

When you select an action on a supported screen, the application calls the corresponding parameters and perform the logic to complete the task.

Note: You can perform these actions on the User Defined Actions screen:
  • Enable: Enables a custom action option. When enabled, the custom action option is displayed only for users who are authorized to use the option.
  • Disable: Disables a custom action option. You can disable only if the status of the option is set to Released or Created.
  • Publish: Publishes an enabled custom action option. If published, the custom action option is displayed for all users with the required permissions.
  • Release: Releases a custom action option for which the status is set to Published or Saved.

Delete: Removes a custom action option. You can delete an option only if the status of the option is other than Enabled or Published.
