Configuring E-commerce strategy

  1. Select Facility > Warehouse > WMS > Configuration > Strategies > Ecommerce Packing. The Ecommerce Packing Strategy screen is displayed.
  2. Click New. A list of fields is displayed.
  3. Specify this information on the Detail tab:
    ECommerce Packing Strategy
    A unique key for Ecommerce packing.
    Description
    A short description of the packing.
  4. Specify this information on the Controls tab:
    Pack Station Location
    The location of the pack station.
    Note: If this field value is set to Mandatory, you must specify the pack station location on the ECommerce Packing screen during packing.
    Report Printer
    The name of the printer to generate reports.
    Pack List Print Timing
    The time when the pack list is to be printed.
    Application Updates
    Determines how the database is updated during the packing process.
    Carton Type
    The type of carton.
    TO ID Determination
    The type of process to generate TO ID.
    Weight Capture
    Indicates whether weight is captured.
    Auto Ship To ID on Close
    Indicates whether the packing must be shipped automatically when closed.
    Barcode Group
    The barcode group that is defined in Barcode Configuration.
    Note: This field value is displayed based on Barcode Formats that is defined at the Enterprise level.
    List Items Prior To Packing
    Indicates if the items included in the shipment order are displayed before starting the packing process.
    Allow Override (List Items Prior To Packing)
    Indicates if overriding is allowed for the List Items Prior To Packing field.
    Number of Rows to Display
    The number of rows to be displayed on the screen at one time.
    Allow Override (Number of Rows to Display)
    Indicates if overriding is allowed for the Number of Rows to Display field.
    Supress Successful Scan Message
    Indicates if the scan message to be displayed on the Ecommerce Packing setup screen.
    Allow Override (Supress Successful Scan Message)
    Indicates if overriding is allowed for the Supress Successful Scan Message check box. If the value in this field is set to Yes, user can override the Supress Successful Scan Message on the Ecommerce Packing setup screen. This screen can be accessed from WMS > Outbound > Parcel/Quality Control > Ecommerce Packing.
    Weight Override
    Indicates if user can modify the Accumulated Weight field value displayed on packing screen during active packing. This screen can be accessed from WMS > Outbound > Parcel/Quality Control > Ecommerce Packing.
    Allow Override (Weight Override)
    Indicates if overriding is allowed for the Weight Override field. If the value in this field is set to Yes, user can override the Weight Override on the Ecommerce Packing setup screen.
    Note: These fields are displayed only when the ECOMPACKWEIGHT parameter is enabled on the Feature Control screen:
    • Supress Successful Scan Message
    • Allow Override (Supress Successful Scan Message)
    • Weight Override
    • Allow Override (Weight Override)
    Allow Override (Barcode Group)
    Indicates if the override is allowed for Barcode Group.
    Allow Close Partial To ID
    Indicates if the Close To ID option is to be enabled for closing items on the Ecommerce Packing screen.
    Note: This field is applicable only when partially packed.
    Allow Override (Pack Station Location)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Pack Station Location.
    Allow Override (Report Printer)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Report Printer.
    Allow Override (Pack List Print Timing)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Pack List Print Timing.
    Allow Override (Application Updates)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Application Updates.
    Allow Override (Carton Type)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Carton Type.
    Allow Override (TO ID Determination)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the TO ID Determination.
    Allow Override (Weight Capture)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Weight Capture.
    Allow Override (Auto Ship To ID on Close)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Auto Ship To ID on Close.
    Label Printer
    The name or code of the printer to print labels.
    Label Print Timing
    The time when the labels are to be printed.
    Label Type
    The type of label to print.
    Perform Blind Packing
    Indicates whether to perform blind packing.
    SPS Trigger Point
    Data that is sent to SPS.
    Item Image Duration
    The duration to display an image of the selected item.
    Auto Close To ID
    Indicates whether to automatically close To ID.
    Carton Type Edit
    Indicates whether to modify the carton type.
    Allow Override (Label Printer)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Label Printer.
    Allow Override (Label Print Timing)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Label Print Timing.
    Allow Override (Label Type)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Label Type.
    Allow Override (Perform Blind Packing)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Perform Blind Packing.
    Allow Override (SPS Trigger Point)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the SPS Trigger Point.
    Allow Override (Item Image Duration)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Item Image Duration.
    Allow Override (Auto Close To ID)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Auto Close To ID.
    Allow Override (Carton Type Edit)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Carton Type Edit.
    Ecommerce Packing UDF 1 – 10
    The shipment order information to be displayed on the Ecommerce Packing screen.
    Note: If this field is specified, the respective check box is selected automatically on the Ecommerce Packing Setup screen.
    Allow Override (Ecommerce Packing UDF 1 - 10)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Ecommerce Packing UDF 1 – 10 fields. If the value in this field is set to Yes, you can override the Ecommerce Packing UDF check box on the Ecommerce Packing screen.
    Show Order Pack Complete
    Indicates whether to display alert notifications after completing the shipment order packing process.
    Allow Override (Show Order Pack Complete)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Show Order Pack Complete check box. If the value in this field is set to Yes, you can override the Show Order Pack Complete check box on the Ecommerce Packing screen.
    Show Counter By Order
    Indicates whether the number of units packed and the number of units remaining to be packed for the current shipment order are displayed on the Ecommerce Packing screen.
    Allow Override (Show Counter By Order)
    Indicates whether the override is allowed for the Show Counter By Order check box. If the value in this field is set to Yes, you can override the Show Counter By Order check box on the Ecommerce Packing Setup screen.
    Note: 
    • These fields are displayed only when the ECOMMUIPACKING parameter is enabled on the Feature Control screen:
      • Ecommerce Packing UDF 1 – 10
      • Allow Override (Ecommerce Packing UDF 1 - 10)
      • Show Order Pack Complete
      • Allow Override (Show Order Pack Complete)
      • Show Counter By Order
      • Allow Override (Show Counter By Order)
    • The information such as UDFs, Order Pack Complete, and Show Counter By Order is displayed only when the packed From ID contains a single order.
  5. Select the fields to be displayed in the application on the Fields tab.
  6. Click Save.
