Performing the ECommerce packing

Use this page to set-up the Ecommerce packing.

On this page you can:

  • Print labels for the selected packing using the Print Labels option.
  • Print reports for the selected packing using the Print Report option.
  • Close TO ID using the Close TO ID option.
  • Reload the Ecommerce screen using the Refresh option.

To set-up the E-commerce packing:

  1. Select Facility > Warehouse > WMS > Outbound > Parcel/Quality Control > ECommerce Packing. The Ecommerce Packing screen is displayed.
  2. Specify this information:
    Pack Station Location
    The location of the pack station.
    Note: 
    • The default pack location is set to PACK based on the Facility level settings.
    • If this field value is cleared, an error message is displayed when you click Start Packing option. This message is displayed only if the Pack Station Location field is set to Mandatory on the Ecommerce Packing Strategy screen.
    Report Printer
    The name of the printer to generate prints.
    Note: This field is defaulted based on the value selected in the Pack Station Location field.
    Label Printer
    The name or code of the printer to print labels.
    Note: This field is defaulted based on the value selected in the Pack Station Location field.
    Pack List Print Timing
    Indicates the type of process to print pack list.
    Label Print Timing
    The time when the labels are to be printed.
    Label Type
    The type of label to print.
    Application Updates
    The database is updated with packing data.
    Perform Blind Packing
    Indicates if to blind packing must be performed.
    Carton Type
    The type of carton for packing.
    SPS Trigger Point
    Data that is sent to SPS.
    TO ID Determination
    The type of entry for TO ID.
    Item Image Duration
    The duration for an image to display.
  3. Select these check boxes, to view the values of the selected fields on the Packing screen:
    • Weight Capture
    • Auto Close TO ID
    • Auto Ship To ID on Close
    • Carton Type Edit
    • Carton Type Scan
    • List Items Prior To Packing
    • Weight Override
    • Supress Successful Scan
  4. Select these check boxes if you required to view on the Ecommerce Packing window:
    • From ID
    • To ID
    • Packing Status
    • Packing Instructions
    • Scan Field
    • Order Number
    • Detail Instructions
    • Counter
    • Carton Size
    • Accumulated Weight
    • Ecommerce Packing UDF1 - 10
      Note: The Ecommerce Packing window displays ecommerce packing UDF information only when the From ID is associated with a single order.
    • Show Order Pack Complete
      Note: The Ecommerce Packing window displays ecommerce packing Order Pack Complete information only when the From ID is associated with a single order.
    • Show Counter By Order
      Note: The Ecommerce Packing window displays ecommerce packing Show Counter By Order information only when the From ID is associated with a single order.
    Note: You can only modify these check boxes when the value in the related override field is set to Yes on the Controls tab of theEcommerce Packing Strategy screen:
    • Ecommerce Packing UDF1 – 10
    • Show Order Pack Complete
    • Show Counter By Order
  5. Click Start Packing. The Ecommerce Packing window is displayed.
    Note: 
    • An error message is displayed when the status of the selected shipment order is not set to Packed, in these conditions:
      • The Packing Rule field is set to Picked on the Shipment Order Processing Rules screen.
      • The Shipment Order Processing Rules field is set to Picked before packed on the Header tab of the Shipment Order screen.
      • The Ship Order Processing Rules field is set to Picked before packed on the Task tab of the Owner screen.
    • An error message is displayed when the Weight Override check box is enabled but the Accumulated Weight check box is disabled on the Ecommerce Packing Setup screen
  6. Specify Pack From ID. The Pack TO ID and Carton Type fields are displayed.
    Note: A preview of the items in the shipment order is displayed with the specified number of rows if the List Items Prior To Packing and Number of Rows to Display check boxes are selected on the ECommerce Packing Strategy screen.
  7. Specify Pack TO ID and Carton Type.
    Note: 
    • You can scan the carton type if the Carton Type Scan check box is selected by manually or by scanning the barcode, based on the ECommerce Packing Strategy screen. If this check box is cleared, the carton type must be selected manually.
    • The system validates the Pack TO ID format defined in the Lpn Format Validation For Packing section. Else, an error message is displayed. The Lpn Format Validation For Packing section can be accessed from the Labels tab on the Owner menu.
    • You can verify and modify the Accumulated Weight field value.
      Note: You can modify the value in this field only if the Allow Weight Override and Accumulated Weight check boxes are enabled on the Fields tab from the Ecommerce Packing Strategy screen
  8. Verify these details:
    • Special instructions
    • Detail instructions
    • Counter by order
    • Ecommerce packing UDF
  9. Press Enter. The items to be picked are displayed.
  10. Access Scan To Pack.
    Note: You can specify one of this:
    • A barcode that is associated with owner and facility level. For example, assuming the format is configured this way: ]E21KC100001, ]E21 is barcode identifier, KC1 is name of the item, and 00001 is quantity.
    • The name of the item.
      • If the name is specified, the Quantity To Pack screen is displayed after pressing Enter. You can specify the quantity to be packed and click Save.
      • You can click Close To ID to close the partial From IDs.
    • The associated image is displayed when an item is specified or scanned in the RF application. This image is displayed from Infor Document Manager (IDM) or older version of Image Capture based on the USEWMIMAGESFORECOM system parameter.
  11. Press Enter after reviewing the information.
    Note: The information related to packing is displayed. For example:
    • Packed items are indicated in Green color and displayed at the bottom of the list.
    • Items yet to be packed are indicated in Grey color and displayed at the top of the list.
    • Items that are in progress are indicated in Orange color.
    • The application displays a confirmation notification after completion of the shipment order packing process.
  12. Press Close TO ID.
    Note: The application performs ECommerce Fast Packing process when the ECOMFASTPACKING and FASTPACKINGPARTIALQTY parameters are enabled on the System Settings screen.
