Creating a custom action

  1. Select Facility > ENTERPRISE > Enterprise > Administration > User Defined Actions. The User Defined Actions screen is displayed.
  2. Click New. A list of fields is displayed.
  3. Specify this information:
    Action Name
    The name of the custom action option.
    Description
    The description of the custom action option.
    Notes
    The additional information related to the custom action option.
    Menu
    The screen and menu in which the custom action option is displayed.
    Action
    The user-defined action associated with the custom action option.
    Note: A maximum of five user defined actions can be added to a custom action option.
    Status
    The status of the custom action option. Possible values:
    • Created: The custom action option is created and not enabled.
    • Saved: The custom action option is enabled for the user.
    • Published: The custom action option is enabled for all users.
    • Released: The custom action option is released, and users can modify the configuration, if required.
    Note: By default, the value in this filed is populated and cannot be modified.
  4. Specify this information on the Procedures tab:
    Sequence
    The order in which the application procedures are displayed in the application.
    Procedure Name
    The predefined procedures or EBRs configured for the custom action option.
  5. Click the Parameters tab.
  6. Specify this information:
    Parameter Name
    The parameter name that corresponds to the relevant application procedure.
    Is Constant
    The source from which the parameter value is derived.
    Note: 
    • If the parameter value is constant, the value in this field must be set to Yes.
    • If the parameter value is populated from the screen context, the value in this field must be set to No.
    Constant
    The fixed value assigned to the parameter.
    Note: This field is displayed only if the value in the Is Constant field is set to Yes.
    BIO Class Name
    The Business Information Object (BIO) name associated with the selected menu or with related BIOs.
    BIO Attribute Name
    The attribute name for the selected BIO for which the value is mapped to the specified application procedure parameter.
  7. Click Save.
    Note: 
    • If the custom action option is triggered, the status is displayed on the Application Alerts screen.
    • You can specify the user roles and permissions to Edit or View only on the Permissions screen.
