Cherry Pick Replenishment from an automated area

Use this feature to move the inventory from the source (From location) to the destination (To location) in a controlled way. You can create cherry-pick replenishment tasks for inventory stored in an automated area when users do not have direct physical access to the area. The process enables warehouse users to specify the To Zone and optionally the From Zone. The users can also generate the replenishment tasks on the Create CP Tasks screen.

The tasks created are not assigned to a user. The users can pick and complete tasks when the inventory is available. This is required because the automated area delivers inventory in a non-sequential (random) order.

When cartons arrive at the picking location, the user scans the carton LPN and completes the corresponding task on the Complete CP Task screen. The application updates the inventory location to the Outbound Staging Location of the selected From zone.

After all tasks associated with a pallet are completed, the application automatically creates a move task to transfer the pallet from the Outbound Staging Location (From zone) to the Inbound Staging Location (To zone).
