StreamLine Packing

Use the StreamLine Packing screen to pack shipment orders using an optimized RF packing workflow that reduces the communication between the RF device and WMS. Streamline Packing improves packing performance by preloading packing information and minimizing server round trips during packing activities. The functionality is designed to increase operator productivity and reduce delays when processing high-volume shipment orders.

Note: 
  • You must enable the RFPACKPERFOMANCE parameter on the Feature Control screen to enable this functionality.
  • StreamLine Packing does not support these processes:
    • Audit Packing
    • Packing processes that require outbound validations
    • Serial number validations

When a packing session begins, the application retrieves and preloads the information required for packing operations, including:

  • Shipment information
  • Item information
  • DROP ID information
  • Carton information
  • Packing notes, when configured

By loading this information at the start of the session, the application reduces the number of requests sent between the RF device and the server during packing. This results in faster response times and fewer screen transitions.
