Performing streamline packing
To perform the streamline packing:
- Select Outbound Menu from the WMS Main Menu. The Outbound Mgmt menu is displayed.
- Press Packing. The Select Printer screen is displayed.
- Press Enter to navigate through the Select Printer screen fields. The Packing Menu screen is displayed.
- Press StreamLine Packing. The StreamLine Packing Menu screen is displayed.
Note: An error message is displayed when a user selects the StreamLine Packing option without enabling the RFPACKPERFOMANCE parameter.
- Press Build To ID. The StreamLine Packing screen is displayed.
- Specify the value in the To ID field and press Enter twice. A new screen is displayed with the To ID.
- If the specified To ID does not exist as a valid Drop ID, create a new To ID by specifying values in the Carton Type and To Loc fields.
- If the specified To ID exist, the application populates the corresponding Carton Type and To Loc field values.
Note: If required, you can modify the value in the Carton Type field, however, you cannot modify the value in the To Loc field. - Verify or specify the Carton Type, To Loc information and press Enter twice.
- Specify the value in the From ID and Order# fields and press Enter twice.
- Specify the value in the Item field and press Enter. The item packing screen is displayed with the Picked quantity and Packed quantity fields information.
- Specify the quantity to pack in the Qty field and press Enter.
- If the Packing Quantity Always 1 check box is selected in the item configuration settings, you must pack items one at a time.
- If the Packing Quantity Always 1 check box is not selected, you can specify the quantity to pack.
- If the Lot control at Packing check box is selected in the item configuration settings, the application validates lot information when you confirm the quantity. If multiple lots are required, a message is displayed, indicating that you must specify the lot.
- Repeat steps 7-9 until all picked items are packed.
