Using the Standard Move RF option

The standard move option is used to control the movement of inventory when the entire license plate is not being moved together.

Examples of use:

  • Part of the inventory on a license plate is being moved to another location.
  • Part of the inventory on a license plate is being separated to a different license plate.
  • The inventory you are moving does not have a license plate assigned.

To use the Standard Move RF option:

  1. Select Replen & Move from the RF device Main menu. The Replen & Move (RPMV) screen is displayed.
  2. Select Standard Move. The Inventory Move (RL01A) screen is displayed.
  3. Scan or Input information to execute the move.

    Specify information in the From fields:

    Loc (optional - not displayed)

    The location from which the inventory is moved. This field required only when the system cannot identify the inventory, such as when license plate information is not available.

    LPN
    The license plate number of the item to be moved. This entry is not required if you are recording the move by Item number.
    Item
    The item to be moved. This entry is not required if a license plate is used.
    Qty
    The quantity to be moved. Enter 0 when moving the entire license plate.
    In Transit Loc

    The temporary location for the move to record the first step of the transaction. This field can be used differently depending on operation needs. Possible uses include:

    • Use the default value INTRANSIT to show that the inventory is in process. If this value is always used, the field can be hidden on the RF screen.
    • Allow the operator to enter or scan a different temporary location, such as an equipment ID. This improves the tracking of the physical location of the inventory while the move is in process.
  4. Press Enter to complete the first step of the move.
    Note: 
    • If the item being moved requires serial number tracking, the serial number capture screen is displayed to specify the item being moved.
    • The application displays an error message if the inventory does not meet the required shelf-life criteria.
  5. Specify this information in the To fields:
    Loc
    The location to which the inventory is moved.
    Note: You can view and select the assigned pick location for an item using the F2 function key or lookup field. The assigned locations are displayed with location type (Pick, Case, or Layer), based on the locations specified for the item on the Assign Locs tab of the Item screen.     LPN
    The new license plate number assigned to the inventory being moved. Do not enter a value if the LPN is same.
  6. Press Enter. The task is completed.
    Note: If you enter invalid data, the application displays an error message. Correct the data and try again.
