System Configuration
Use this screen to maintain the system counter that you use when the application assigns unique key values in the database. Although you can add new counter types, this action is not required as the application creates and maintains these when required.
You can modify the number the system creates during normal processing. For example, the key
value the system generates starts at 1. The first Shipment Order number is 0000000001. To
start this with a different number, such as ‘’0000050001’’, change the counter for Order to
‘’5000’’.
Note: If these values are edited, do not reduce the current
value to a lower number. This could cause the system to try to assign the same unique number
to a new record causing a duplicate key error.
