Shipment Order Allocation Based on Requested Delivery Date
The system uses the shelf life allocation logic to allocate the items to shipment orders. If
the Use Requested Delivery Date with Shelf Life
Allocation check box is selected, the system determines the appropriate item
lot, based on the requested delivery date and the outbound shelf life value of the item. This
check box is displayed on these screens:
- Owner
- Shipment Order
Note:
- This check box is displayed only if the SHELFLIFEREQDELIVDTE parameter is enabled on the Feature Control screen.
- The shelf life allocation logic is applicable only if the Shelf Life Indicator check box is selected on the General tab of the Item screen. See, General tab of an item in the Infor WMS Configuration Guide.
- The system considers the date specified in the Requested Delivery Date field on the Header tab of the Shipment Order screen.
- The system considers the value specified in the Outbound Shelf Life field on the General tab of the Item screen.
- If the Minimum Shelf Life value is specified on the Outbound Lot Control by Ship To or Conditional Validation screens, the system considers this value for the shipment order allocation, irrespective of the value specified in the Outbound Shelf Life field.
The system determines the shelf life allocation logic based on the Shelf Life Code Type field value set on the
Item screen. Possible values:
- Expiration Date: The system applies the
Requested Delivery Date PLUS Outbound Shelf Life
logic. - Manufacturing Date: The system applies the
Requested Delivery Date MINUS Outbound Shelf Life
logic.
