Determining the location to replenish from

The system uses the Rotation and Rotate By fields on the item to determine the system Lot Number that needs to be replenished. Once the lot has been determined, the Replenishment Location Sort on the item is used to select the location to replenish from.

To configure the Replenishment Location Sort:

  1. Select WMS > Configuration > Item. The Item screen is displayed.
  2. Use the Search option to display a list; then click the Detail icon. This displays the detail for that Item.
  3. Click on the Outbound tab.
  4. Select Replenishment Location Sort. Specify this information:
    Route/Location Sequence
After determining the system lot required for replenishment, the corresponding locations are selected based on priority, starting with the lowest Interleaving Sequence in the location configuration, followed by the lowest Location Route Sequence, and finally the lowest Location Number.
Clean Location (Quantity Low to High)
After determining the system lot to replenish, the system attempts to clear the remaining quantity for that lot to empty locations. This is used to quickly make locations available for more product.
    Descending Location Sequence
This is similar to the Route/Location sequence method, however this field searches for available product to replenish for the lot in descending sequence. Replenishment attempts to empty the back part of the warehouse before the front part. Use this method to keep picking and replenishment operators working in different parts of the warehouse.
