Sorting locations for batch picking

You can sort locations assigned to the Ship To address after the inventory is at the sortation station.

To sort locations by item or lottables:

  1. Select Outbound Menu > Batch Sorting > PTG Sort from the RF Menu. The PTG Sort screen is displayed.
  2. Scan the sortation station and the Licence Plate Number (LPN) available at the sortation station.
    Note: Alternately, you can specify the pack location on the shipment order in the Ind Pnt (Induction Point) field and licence plate number in the LPN field.

  3. Press Enter. The PTG Sort screen is displayed with the additional fields.
  4. Specify the item to be sorted.
  5. Select the type of sequence in which the item is sorted. Possible values:
    • Forward
    • Reverse
    Note: 
    • If an item is not specified, the system sorts the item based on locations specified by the LPN.
    • You can modify the item, using the arrow-left icon.
  6. Press Enter. The Lottable Required screen is displayed.
    Note: This screen is displayed only if:
    • The PTGSORTBYLOTTABLE parameter is enabled on the System Settings screen.
    • The shipment order includes a request for the lottables.
  7. Verify the lottables.
  8. Press Enter. The PTG Sort screen is displayed with the additional fields.
    Note: The system displays all sort locations for the specified item.
  9. Specify the Drop ID, Qty (quantity) and Uom (unit of measure) in the applicable fields.
  10. Press Enter. The inventory is sorted by locations assigned to the Ship To address.
  11. Sort all the remaining items tagged to the LPN. After the sorting process is completed for all orders associated with the LPN, a message is displayed indicating that the batch picking for a grid is completed.
