Viewing and managing level of security across roles and screens

In addition to maintaining action level permissions within a specific role, there is also a separate screen available to view and manage this level of security across roles and screens.

To set the action level permissions for screens and roles:

  1. Using an Administrator account, log on to Infor WMS.
  2. Switch your facility to Enterprise.
  3. From the Navigation menu, click Security.
  4. Click Action Permission Profiles.
  5. Filter or sort the rows to locate the screen and button to be configured.
  6. Select or clear the Enabled flag for each button.
  7. Click Save.
    Note: Regarding Action Level Permissions:
    • If a screen exists on both the Facility and Enterprise, there is a row for each within the role maintenance. If the same button is enabled for one and disabled for the other, the button will be enabled in both. For example, if the role has the Save button enabled at the Facility, but disabled for the Enterprise, it will be enabled for the user in both the Facility and Enterprise levels.
    • If the user has multiple roles, and the Action Level Permissions function has been used to disable button or button menu permissions for one of the roles, the user will still have permission to the button if it has been enabled for at least one of the roles. This functions the same as overall screen access; a screen is available to a user if at least one of the roles has the screen enabled.
