Choosing the Pack To Container

To select the Pack To container:

  1. With the main Packing screen displayed, perform one of the following options to assign the Pack To container:
    • Scan or specify an existing Drop ID into the To ID field (or use the Lookup function).

      The existing Drop ID is used as the To Container.

    • Scan or specify a new Drop ID into the To ID field.

      If the system setting UIPackAutoCreateToIDIfNotBlank is enabled, a new Drop ID record is created when you exit the To ID field. Otherwise, use the Create/Update To ID pop-up window (see below).

    • Auto Create a new To ID.
      If the system setting UIPackAutoCreateToIDIfBlank is enabled, a new To ID is generated and a Drop ID record is created when the user exits the To ID field. Otherwise, use the Create/Update To ID pop-up window (see below).
      Note: The automatic To ID generation and creation will only occur if the To ID field is changed. For example:
      • If a To ID is being used for packing and you clear the To ID field and tab out of the field, a new To ID will be generated
      • If you click into the empty To ID field and tab out of the field, a new To ID will not be generated (because the To ID value did not change).
    • Use the Create/Update To ID pop-up window.
      • Click Actions > Create/Update To ID. The Create/Update To ID pop-up window is displayed.
      • Within the window, you can generate and save a new ID by clicking Generate To ID, updating the Carton Type field and dimension fields if necessary, and clicking Save.
      • Within the window, you can create a Drop ID for the new To ID by scanning or specifying the To ID, updating the Carton Type field and dimension fields if necessary, and clicking Save.
      • Click Close to close the pop-up window.
  2. Review the values and totals in the Pack To Container header fields.
  3. Review the pick detail records in the To Contents tab.
  4. The Pack To container is now ready for packing.
