Linux startup file configuration

On the Linux operating system, the start-up file is named .profile or .bash_profile, or .bashrc. The LANG environment variable should be set for use with UTF8. This environment variable controls the runtime locale that is used by Meta RF.

Do not use the root user account for hosting the Meta RF application to users. Instead, create a user account for Meta RF login purposes and make any environment variable changes to that user’s start-up file.
