Actions
You can select any of the following actions to perform on a specific wave. Navigate to Action tab to access these specific functions.
. Click the- Pre-allocate
- Pre-allocate initiates the pre-allocation process for the wave. This reserves inventory for product on the wave orders based on availability at the LOT level of inventory.
- Allocate
- Allocate initiates the allocation process for the wave.
- Un-allocate
- Un-allocate initiates the un-allocation process for the wave. This function
does not remove allocation information for the portion of the orders that are updated
as Picked. It un-allocates records that are Allocated or Released.
To remove allocation information for completed picks, use the Unallocate Pick Details screen or delete the pick details within the shipment order.
- Release
- Release initiates the release process for the wave.
- Ship
- Ship initiates the shipping process for the wave.
- Close Order
- Close Order initiates the shipping process for the wave order even if it
contains line items with an open quantity. Close Order action initiates the following
events automatically:
- The wave status updates to shipped when picked items are shipped.
- Any inventory in the wave that is allocated but not picked is unallocated.
- Tasks linked to open picks are deleted
- The open quantity is reduced to match the quantity recorded as picked for each line item.
- Picking against the closed wave is not allowed.
- If you set your Owner and Ship To configurations to allow back ordering, a new order is created for the open quantities. (See the Infor WMS Configuration User Guide for information on back order configuration settings.)
- Calc Stds
- Calc Standards can only be selected if the Wave is in a Release
to Task Manager status.
- The STARTLOC location is used as the initial starting location for each of the assignments and pallet picks when determining the standards.
- When you select the Calc Stds action, the system calls the Labor Engine to calculate the Standards on all of the Picking Assignments and full pallet picks for the Wave. A full pallet pick indicates that the quantity of the pick task is equal to the pallet quantity on the Pack.
- The Labor engine returns the Estimated Labor calculated standard values for the Assignments and full pallet picks. These values display on the Wave Summary tab in the Total Expected Labor Time for Assignments and Total Expected Labor Time for Full Pallet Picks fields.
- The Expected Labor Time also displays on the Assignment Tab.
- The estimated labor standards for assignments and full pallet picks can also be done automatically on the Releasing of a Wave. For this to occur automatically, the System Setting CALCPICKLBRSTDSWAVE needs to be checked (On).
- Dock Assignments
- Run the automatic dock assignment process for the wave. This option is only displayed if the automatic dock assignment process has been configured.
- Assign Load Staging
- WMS assigns a load to an order, then it assigns stage locations for the order based on the number of estimated pallets and the pallet capacity.
- Clear Load Staging
- This process clears all load staging records related to the loads and stops on the wave. The stage location on the orders is also cleared.
