ASN/Receipt overview

The advance shipment notice receipt (ASN/Receipt) is a receipt document in Infor WMS Warehouse Management that tracks information such as carrier and receipt date. The ASN is also known as a warehouse receipt.

An ASN can be populated from a purchase order (PO). Multiple POs can be associated with the ASN. Alternatively, you can specify an ASN directly into the application without a PO.

The ASN/Receipt process allows warehouse associates to prepare for the arrival of product, improving efficiency and accuracy. You can print barcode labels in advance and allocate work to associates accordingly.

The application can transmit expected receipt information in the following ways:

• Electronic transmission using EDI
• Proprietary host interface
• Direct entry into a workstation.
• Excel import feature
